Get the Surf95 bar

A little surf bar drops onto the page. Hit SURF and a random weird old-web site loads right in your tab. Keep clicking.

now live on the Chrome Web Store ↓

▸ Chrome Web Store (one-click, auto-updating)

Chrome · Brave · Edge · Opera · the easiest way to install
⬇ Add to Chrome — free

Click "Add to Chrome" on the store page. It works in Brave, Edge, and Opera too, and it updates itself.

▸ Manual install (zip)

only if you can't use the store · any Chromium browser · takes about 30 seconds
⬇ Download surf95-extension.zip
  1. Unzip the downloaded file to a folder you'll keep (don't delete it later — the extension runs from it).
  2. Open chrome://extensions (or brave://extensions / edge://extensions).
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped surf95-extension folder.
  5. Pin the Surf95 icon, open any website, and click it — the bar drops down. Hit SURF.

Note: browsers may nag about "developer mode extensions" — that's normal for self-installed extensions. The Chrome Web Store version avoids that and updates itself.

🦊 Firefox not supported yet — use a Chromium browser

Firefox blocks self-installed extensions, so for now Surf95 needs a Chromium browser (Chrome, Brave, Edge, or Opera). You can always surf without the extension right here at surf95.com.
